From initial design and in-depth conversation with clients, accommodating their requests as well as understanding how they are going to utilize the building in day-to-day living. We came up with a sharp androgynous look on the facade and a soft approach to the interior design, Inspired by the Client personal fondness of Japanese architecture, we added shoji inspired design on the 2nd elevation, not only aesthetically pleasing to the eye it also acts as a filter to soften the strong tropical sunlight entering into the building.

Another great nod to Japanese influence, on the roof we designed it as if it appears floating by adding subdued mood lighting underneath creating that subtle yet impactful optical illusion.

In conjunction with previous talks with the client,

On the entrance, we deliberately choose to use a small singular entryway towards a spacious open plan living arrangement.
Creating those juxtapositions that marry up with the curvature wall on the above elevation that is reaching up towards the ceiling.

Underneath we want cohesiveness throughout the design by bringing Nippon shoji-inspired wood styling from the facade into the interior. By cladding one of the walls as a focal point along with alcoves in two places where accommodating flush kitchen units and multimedia station achieves this for the client.

On the other side, we left the wall bare in minimalist crisp white finishing enabling the client to display the one-of-a-kind arts they've collected during their journey.

This house is located in babakan, bali. Designed to be a house for a family, and a loft to be used in the front area. It is designed with a tropical modern concept to embrace the element surrounding the house, creating a strong and bold feeling for the exterior of the house using a lot of straight lines and darker tone with a fierce lighting. On the contrary, the interior approach a more feminime design, using curve and bright color with smooth lighting. Thus becoming an element of surprise for the people that goes inside and creating a complete feeling for the family.
